How Long Does a Lash Lift Last? The Complete Guide
Lash lifting gives a natural mascara effect that lasts for weeks. We explain what its duration depends on and how to make the results last longer.
Read more →Pregnancy brings up plenty of questions about which beauty treatments are safe, and Lash Lifting is no exception. It’s a question we get asked often at the studio, so we want to give you clear information to help you decide with peace of mind.
Lash lifting is, generally speaking, a topical treatment that works only on the eyelash itself, without contact with the skin elsewhere on the body. Even so, during pregnancy the skin and eyes can be more sensitive than usual, which is why the standard recommendation in the industry is to check with your gynaecologist or midwife first, especially during the first trimester.
If during pregnancy you notice your skin reacting differently to products you used to tolerate well, let us know before your appointment. Skin and eyes can be more sensitive at this stage, and we’d rather postpone or adapt the treatment than risk an uncomfortable reaction.
When in doubt, our recommendation is always the same: check with your midwife or gynaecologist first, and tell us about any sensitivity before we begin.
If you have your doctor’s go-ahead and no history of sensitive skin or allergies to cosmetic products, there’s no reason to give up your moment of self-care. Message us before your appointment if you have any questions at all — we’d rather talk it through calmly beforehand than sort it out on the spot on treatment day.
